The day began with a warm welcome and an engaging presentation about the wide range of professions at Gsell, our manufacturing technologies and the unique “Gsell Way.” During the morning break, a sweet surprise awaited them – festive Gsell Advent calendars. Afterwards, the children joined their parents or mentors at their workplaces, observing how expertise and state-of-the-art technology combine to create highly precise components for the medical technology industry.
Afternoon Highlight – Creating a personalized ruler
In the afternoon, the highlight of the day awaited them: creating their very own personalized ruler. Under expert guidance, the kids discovered several manufacturing techniques:
Laser Gsell Logo
The Gsell logo was engraved into the material using a laser.
Milling
The children programmed their names and then milled them on a CNC-Machine.
Measuring
Using various measurement techniques to check how precise their rulers had become.
Coloring
To finish, they colored their rulers in the shade of their choice.
With great enthusiasm, the young talents mastered each station. Their smiles said it all when they proudly held their personal rulers in their hands at the end of the day – a memorable keepsake from an unforgettable day.
