Insights into Plastics Manufacturing for Medical Technology
Following a welcome reception with coffee and pastries, we introduced Gsell Medical Plastics and our role as a development and manufacturing partner for medical-grade plastic solutions. The apprentices learned about our company's history, technologies, manufacturing capabilities, and the high standards for precision, quality, and regulatory compliance required in the medical device industry.
Production Facility Tour
During the guided tour of our production facility, the apprentices explored modern manufacturing processes and gained practical insights into the production of medical device components. One of the most exciting moments was seeing the many Fehlmann machines, tools, and machining processes they already knew from their own training being used in a real-world production environment at Gsell. This provided a valuable connection between their vocational education and industrial manufacturing.

Exchange between Training Companies
During a shared mid-morning break with refreshments, the apprentices had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss vocational training, career opportunities, and daily work at Gsell. Company visits like this strengthen collaboration between training organizations while allowing apprentices to experience new technologies, manufacturing environments, and career paths. They also demonstrate how the knowledge and skills acquired during vocational training are applied across different industries. At the end of the visit, each participant received a Gsell Victorinox pocket knife as a small token of appreciation.
